“I left with a spiritual joy that I had never experienced before. I was flying. My heart leapt and I constantly repeated what I had heard from the Elder: “Lord Jesus Christ…”

I had heard from other Spiritual Fathers before that we must say the prayer. But my lips could not be prompted to say it. It felt like it was a commandment that had been imposed upon me from without and I had not managed to implement it.

Now, without realizing it, my heart had been fired up by a divine flame and with love and gratitude I proclaimed within myself toward God whatever my eyes had seen and my heart had heard near this Elder monk.
